How We Started Making Events People Actually Enjoy
Back in 2015, I was coordinating a tech conference in Taipei that should have been straightforward. Good speakers, solid venue, decent budget. But halfway through day one, I realized people weren't connecting the way they should have been.
The problem wasn't the content or the logistics. We'd designed an event that looked perfect on paper but felt stiff and formal in practice. People wanted to network but didn't know how. Speakers delivered great talks to audiences who couldn't figure out how to ask questions without feeling awkward.
That event taught me something important. The technical stuff matters, but what really makes an event successful is how it makes people feel. Can they relax? Do they feel like they belong? Are the conversations happening naturally?
Since then, we've built our entire approach around creating environments where business connections happen naturally. Not forced networking. Not awkward icebreakers. Just thoughtful design that removes barriers.
We work mostly with companies in Taiwan who need events that serve a real purpose. Product launches where people leave understanding what makes the product valuable. Team gatherings that actually improve how people work together. Client appreciation events that strengthen relationships instead of just checking a box.
And yes, we sweat the details. But we start with the human part first. Because when you get that right, everything else follows.
